Shooting Summer in Winter: Behind the Scenes on Location

While the brief was all about sunny paddleboarding and beach life, the reality was harsh. The shoot took place in the depths of winter under high winds, unpredictable rain, and tight schedules.

We arrived under a clear forecast—but the campervan wasn’t available until the next day, and the weather changed dramatically. Heavy rain set in, and we had to work fast, capturing what we needed in brief breaks of light, coordinating crew and models under serious time pressure.

While drone footage was planned, the conditions were too severe to safely fly, and we made the call to focus our time on what we could control: on-the-ground visuals that still delivered the aspirational mood.

Working with Real Models, Not Stock Moments

or this shoot, we sourced authentic lifestyle models via Instagram, helping us strike the perfect balance between relatable content and premium campaign quality.

This approach creates a natural, lived-in feel that connects more deeply with campervan and travel audiences—while still being polished enough for magazine covers and high-end advertising.
